Proud Big Brother

Brady is in love with his little brother which we're so over the moon about! I know it's probably the new-ness of it all but we'll take all the tender moments and things he says to Mason. It's so cute to watch. He loves to hold him (for about 20 seconds) and says the most loving things to him. He calls him 'Sweetheart' and is always concerned if he's crying. After naps and in the morning, the first thing he wants to do is see his 'baby brother' as he says. Love these pics below and can't wait to see these two grow up together. We are truly blessed.

Brady is very insistent on sharing all of his toys with Mason and will put them all around him! Love that little monkey!

Here are some pics of Mason's visitors!! He was so excited to meet everyone!

It's a BOY!!!

On Thursday, April 12th at 8:16 a.m. we welcomed Mason Andrew Cathcart into our family. Mason was 7lbs 7 oz and 19" long. A little peanut compared to Big Brother! The c-section went really well and we are over the moon for our new little guy. It was love at first sight, that's for sure. Here are some delivery and first family photos. I'll update more pics and give more details later...but for now, here's the start of our journey through pictures!

On our way to the hospital...last pregnant picture ever!!!
Here's Mason!!!

We are really enjoying our time at home with Mason...he completes our family! Big Brother Brady LOVES his baby brother and has been so good with him so far...I'll do a post on that later!

Family of 3 Weekend...Part 2

On Saturday we got up and were thinking we wouldn't be able to go to any Easter Egg Hunts due to the rain but luckily the rain held off for the Polk City hunt. It was the perfect size (not too big) and tons of candy! Brady had so much fun! The Easter Bunny was there too so Brady liked that as well. After the Easter Egg Hunt we ran some errands and then it was lunch and nap time. After nap time we played outside for a few hours, ate some dinner and then Bryce, Meggie and Luke came over so the boys could play and we got to catch up a little. Before we knew it, it was bed time for the boys. On Sunday we got up for 8:00 a.m. church but not before we got to see what the Easter Bunny brought! Brady was thrilled with his goodies! We headed off to church for a great service and Brady was really good! We were both pleasantly surprised with how well he did. After church we came home and I made a big brunch spread. After stuffing ourselves we laid low, did some playing and cleaning and just hung out the 3 of us. Then it was Easter Egg Hunt time at our house. Brady found all of his eggs in record time! Then we took Brady to a pond in the park and did a little fishing. He loves it and caught 4 fish in half an hour! All in all it was a great weekend just the 3 of us...the last weekend that we'll be a family of 3. It meant a lot to me to have this time with our little family before we add our little peanut in just a couple of days! Here's lots of pics of the rest of our weekend!

Family of 3 Weekend...Part 1

We began our Family of 3 weekend on Thursday. We picked Brady up early from daycare, loaded up and headed to the Ramada which has an indoor water park. We got all checked-in and hit the water park. Brady LOVED it! He loved that there was a 'Pirate Ship' just like Jake and the Neverland Pirates (a show he likes to watch from time to time). He played and played and ran and ran and did so well in the water...he loved it! We bought a ball for him from the gift shop because he saw a basketball hoop and was infatuated with having a ball and shooting hoops, another favorite of his (we need to get a hoop outside ASAP!). After a couple of hours we took a break, ordered pizza and Brady was able to warm up a little...the poor guy was so cold...the water wasn't as warm as we thought it would be. After dinner we went back to the pool for a while. Then it was bed time!
On Friday we got up, ate some breakfast, ran to Starbucks and then it was time to hit the pool again! Brady played for a while and was ready to be done...he was cold and I think over it. So we got all ready and checked out of the hotel. Then we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny! Brady got to ride the train and then see the Easter Bunny and he did really well and kept wanting to go back! Ha ha! We did a little shopping, Brady played in the mall playground, stopped at Hobby Lobby, grabbed some lunch then it was time to head to the theater. We took Brady to see The Lorax. He did so good in the movie, he loved it and was a little sad when it was over. Then it was time to head home. We got home and unloaded, then the boys ran some errands, I got groceries, Brady played outside in his sandbox for a while, we ate dinner and then it was time for bath and bed. This mommy went to bed early too and Andy headed downtown to help celebrate Brad's 35th birthday. I'll update Saturday and Sundays fun next!
