That's a Big Truck!

Brady was one lucky little boy over the weekend. On Saturday he also got to go for a ride in a big semi-truck. My parent's neighbor Dwayne asked if Brady wanted to go for a ride...are you kidding me? He was in heaven and beaming from ear to ear! He also got to pull the horn, he thought he was a pretty big deal!

Tivoli Fest

We were back in my hometown for Tivoli Fest this year...the fun started on Saturday. We got up and headed to the fire station for a yummy Danish treat...Aebleskiver...I can't believe it but Andy has never had them and we've been together for 8 years!! That's just wrong! So I said we were definitely doing that before the parade. The line was LONG for these yummy round Danish pancakes but well worth the wait. I think Andy thought so too. Then we watched the parade and Brady scored a ton of candy (which has pretty much been thrown away, mean mommy I know) and walked around the town checking out the vendors, the new brewery in town, the depot (with a small train car) and the town park where Brady got to play. We had lots of fun and can't wait to do it again next year!

The Wheels on the Bus...

On Thursday me and the boys headed back to my parents to start the weekend a little early and also so we could go to the baseball game in Elk Horn on Thursday. Brady was in for a big surprise as on Friday he got to ride a school bus!!! He is obsessed with school buses and whenever we see one, he says he wants to ride one. Well lucky for him my dad had a freshman double header baseball game in a town about 15 miles away on Friday morning. So I took Brady up to the ball field so he could ride the bus with grandpa and the baseball boys. He was SO excited!!! I followed the bus to the ball field and picked him up after his ride. He had so much fun!!

My Boys

These two mean the world to me...I didn't have a chance to post about Mother's Day but I'm one lucky mama! We went out for breakfast and both boys were so good! Then we got to lounge around a little...I got to get in a run, which was great...then I got all showered up and Jen and I went and got manis/pedis and then went to the movie 'The Lucky One' which we had both read the book...great movie...perfect for a girls day out! It was a nice break to get away for a few hours, just what this mommy needed. I got spoiled from my boys!! Love being their mommy!

Our Weekend

We had a great weekend! On Saturday we had Julianne and Jocelyn's 1st birthday party and Jen did a great job with everything...can't believe they're already 1! Time flies!
We had a productive weekend and got a few things done around the house and then on Sunday we got up and headed up to Gowrie for the day. We were looking forward to spending time with family and also seeing some good friends that now live in North Carolina that we haven't seen in a long time. We had a very nice visit and then headed home and luckily both boys slept on the way home!
And all too quickly Monday is here!

Saturday

On Saturday we headed back to Kimballton for a few hours. I had 3 cousins graduating high school and we wanted to see everyone since we wouldn't be back on Sunday for actual graduation. We visited my aunts, uncles and cousins that were graduating and so they could see Mason for the first time. We also stopped up to see my grandma too! So glad we were able for her to see the boys! Then we had a grad party for one cousin to attend and that way all the Petersens were able to meet Mason too! It was a short trip but we all had fun seeing family and Brady got to run around and play...only took him 5 minutes to fall asleep in the car on the ride home!

1 Month Old!

How fast a month goes! Mr. Mason is 1 month old already!! It seems like this past month has flown but it also feels like he's been a part of our family for a long time. He really completes our family!
He is eating about every 3 hours (even at night), has had some fussiness but that's to be expected with a new baby...it's been so easy for us to forget about that. He is really starting to fill out! But he's only this little for so long so we're loving up every minute.

Fun Weekend

We had a nice laid back yet fun weekend! On Saturday we headed out of the house around 9:00 a.m. and went to Babies R Us for a few things, then went to Brad and Steph's to see them and the boys, then we headed out to Jordan Creek for the Duck Derby where we walked around, Brady played some games and we got in some sun...we were also able to see me friend Abby and her family as they were in town from Omaha...always good to see them! Then we hit up Costco and headed home...it was a successful trip and both boys did a great job! Being gone for 6-7 hours can be tough with two little ones but they both were rock stars!! I haven't had much time in the past 3 weeks to type up long posts so instead I'll just post some pictures...that's what people want anyway, right? Mason and I are still trying to get a schedule/routine established and hopefully in the next couple of weeks we'll get there!
