We have a Walker!

Mason is doing so great walking!!  He's really getting the hang of it.  His walking outside is a little shaky but he's got it down inside!

He somewhat 'Dance Walks' as his arms do all these crazy moves while he's walking...too funny!

He also like to 'take a knee'

Now it's just play time!

Father's Day Weekend

We had a great Father's Day Weekend.  We were able to spend time with both of our dads which was great!  We headed back to Kimballton on Saturday and Andy, Chris, Nick and my Dad did some golfing.  After golfing, we had lots of family over to my Parent's house to celebrate Far Mor's Birthday (Far Mor is Danish for Grandma).  It was great to spend that time with our family!  On Sunday morning we said our good-byes and headed up to Gowrie for more family fun!  We had a great day including some pool time, hot tub time and yummy food.  The boys stayed at Steve and Kris's as our daycare was closed on that Monday.  So Andy and I took advantage of a kids-free night and had a little date-night...it was great!  I met Steve and Kris on Monday evening to pick up the boys.  We are SO lucky to have such wonderful dads in our lives.  We are beyond blessed!!

Funny Story---Brady and Cadence wanted to play in their underwear...ha ha!  So that explains the lack of shorts on those two!

I took the kiddos over to see my mom while she worked and the kids were able to see the K9 dog that one of the officers has.  They thought it was pretty cool!

Pool Time!

These 3 are TROUBLE!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

We had a great weekend celebrating Father's Day with both of our Father's...I will update on that in another post!  I want to focus on one very special Daddy.  Brady and Mason are so lucky to have such an amazing Daddy.  I truly hit the jackpot with Andy.  He is such an attentive, loving, fun and hands-on daddy.  I can only hope that our boys grow up to be just like their Daddy!

Scandinavian Days!

On Saturday we headed up to Story City for Scandinavian Days.  We had a great spot for the parade.  The kids got TONS of candy!  After the parade we made our way to the Bounce Houses and then grabbed some lunch.  Mason was in dire need of a nap so we had to head home so he could get some sleep.  We had a great time!

Getting ready for the parade to start!

Silly Boys!

Dam to Dam

Last weekend I ran the Dam to Dam 20K Race.  I had a group of peeps from Grand View that I had trained and ran with for the race.  They all did a great job and it is so rewarding getting to watch them cross the finish line and accomplish something they didn't think they could.  Just another perk of my job!  Andy brought the boys down so they could see me finish.  It was so great to see them as we were ready to cross the finish line!

Part of our group hanging out at the Dam before the race started
With my favorite cheerleaders after the race...of course Brady had to wear my medal!

Playing in the water at the After-Race Party!
 He Loved it!

Catch-up via Pictures

Here is a quick recap via pictures!

We headed back to Elk Horn/Kimballton for Tivoli Fest over Memorial Day Weekend.  We hit up the Aebleskiver (Danish round pancake balls...yumm-o) and the parade.  Luckily the rain held off for the parade!

Brady took advantage of the Bounce House at Tivoli Fest...loved it!

Just a fun pic with my big boy before dinner
Nels and Cindy were in town from North Carolina.  We were able to meet up for a yummy dinner at Famous Dave's.  So great to see them and catch up!

Brady got a TON of candy from the parade at Tivoli.  So that meant another visit from the Candy Fairy (we let Brady pick 5 pieces of candy to keep and then the rest goes in a bag on the front porch for the Candy Fairy to come and get.  And in the morning there is a toy waiting for Brady...works great for us as he would want to eat ALL of the candy if it was in the house).

Brady had his last day of 3-year old Preschool...he had a great year and is excited for Vacation Bible School!!
