Lucky Number 7

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary!
I can't believe it's been 7 years since we celebrated with our family and friends.  We've come a long way and have experienced so much.  I'm so lucky to walk along this journey with my best friend.
Here's so many, many, many more years of happiness, craziness, funny times, hard times and everything in between!
Love you Andy!

Poor Mason

On Wednesday Mason had a bad fall at daycare.  He got himself in to a tub with toys (he had been taken out of it a time or two before the incident) and he was trying to get out when our daycare provider was coming over to get him out (he knew he wasn't supposed to be in there) and he stepped out and onto a Mega block Lego and must have fallen at the right angle.  I knew it was serious when I went to pick him up and he didn't come running to me, he always does that.  He wouldn't put weight on his leg so I took him to Urgent Care.  After a lot of crying and holding him down for X-Rays, they said it wasn't good, put a temporary cast (past his knee) and told us we'd need to see the Orthopedic Specialist the next day.
It was a LONG 18 hours before getting in to the Orthopedic Specialist.  Long story short, he has a fractured/cracked Tibia.  Luckily he is able to have a below-the-knee cast.  So he'll be rocking his cast for the next 4 weeks...he will get it off the day before our family pics--good timing! :-)
He is handling it pretty well but he's just so frustrated that he can't go, go, go!  He does have a 'walking cast' so when he's ready, he can walk with it on, thank goodness!

A few hours after the accident

His permanent cast.  He actually has an orange cast but they cut 2 slits in it to allow for swelling so it is wrapped in an ACE bandage.

Denver Adventure...Part 1

On Thursday morning Andy and I headed on our trip to Denver, CO for a little Anniversary trip and for my cousin Michael's wedding.  We got to Denver around 5:30 p.m. and got checked in to our hotel and then asked the concierge for a recommendation for a fun Pub/Brewery to eat and have a drink after our long day of travel.  Our concierge gave us a wonderful recommendation, the food and drinks did not disappoint!  We were exhausted after a long day so after a relaxing dinner we headed back to the hotel.  Then on Friday we hit up this great outdoor outlet mall that had the best mountain view ever!  We scored some great deals and then ate lunch outside and took in the view.  Then it was on to IKEA for a little more shopping.
Our initial plan for our trip was to do as many outdoor activities as possible but with the floods, etc we couldn't do the activities we had planned but we were determined to make the most of it and I really think we did!  After we got back to our hotel we decided to go for a run together.  The weather was perfect and we wanted to soak it up!  After our run we got cleaned up and headed towards downtown for a little more shopping and for dinner at Kona.  It was a great night, a very long day but SO much fun.  It's so nice to get away just the two of us!
On Saturday we met up with my parents, aunt & uncle and cousins and headed out to Red Rock Amphitheater.  It was amazing!!!  We hiked up as high as we could go and soaked in the beautiful view.  There were so many people working out up there, I was so jealous!  It looked so fun!!!
We didn't take many pics on Thursday and Friday but took many on Saturday...so here you go!

Yummy drinks on Thursday night!

Here are some pics from my phone of our Red Rocks Adventure!

Just some pics

Here's what we've been up to...

They both love to look outside...when it was over 100 degrees, we stayed cool inside

Silly Brady loves to pose and ask me to take pictures
Mason had a high temp and was cutting a ton of teeth...you can see he doesn't feel good by looking at his eyes.  Poor guy, but luckily he is feeling better!

Finally,  nicer weather so that means outside time!
Rockin' the track suit...love it!

These two, I tell ya!

End of Summer Fun

Where did Summer go?  Well as much fun as it was, I am SO ready for Fall.  It's my favorite time of year although it's my allergy's worst time...but hopefully these shots I've been getting every week for 2 years will start to kick in!

Andy and Brady went fishing with Papa

Andy and Brady hit up the Pool one last time

Shotgun!

Mason is infatuated with Brady's Police Car.  We let Brady give little brother a ride (very slowly of course) and Mason was in heaven.  The only time he would fuss, was when Brady would stop.

When do I get to drive?

Love.

It was so cute on their ride.  Brady would just look over and talk to Mason like he was reassuring him everything was ok.  Mason just grinned from ear to ear.
