Just some pics...

Here are a few pictures that we took before going to church last Sunday.  We are trying out a new church with our friends Ashley and Travis.  While we still love Lutheran Church of Hope we really want to get more involved in Polk City and meet more people here, etc and Lakeside Fellowship is a lot like LC of Hope.  So far we really like it!  And so far we are LOVING living in Polk City!!  It has small town charm but is still close to everything and we've had quite a few friends move here too!

Christmas in Kimballton

We headed back to Kimballton on Friday morning for more Christmas/Family fun!  Soon after we arrived we were spoiled once again with gifts!  The boys were starting to think that wherever we went, we were going to open presents!  Later that night we had a great turkey dinner with all the sides.  Then on Saturday evening it was the Petersen Christmas at Scott and Jana's.  It was great to see everyone.  We sang some songs, ate some food and visited.  We always have a fun grab bag that the adults do.  Always fun with such a large group (one of these years I need to get a pic of all 50 or so of us)!.  Then Sunday was time for the Parker Christmas at Rog and Lisa's for brunch.  We had to cut that one short as Mason was in dire need for a nap so we had to head home.  It was great to be able to see everyone for Christmas this year.  Both of my grandmothers are in the nursing home so holidays seem even more special now.  Here are a few snap shots of the kiddos!

We have so much to look forward to in 2014!!!  We have 3 weddings in our family...My cousin Kyle's in March, my cousin Mallory's in September and then one week later is Chris and JoAnna's!  So exciting!!!
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are blessed in 2014!

I will have to do a house post soon since we officially own our home in Polk City!  Woo Hoo!  Many blessings!!

Christmas in Gowrie

After our Christmas at home we headed up to Gowrie.  Once we arrived we were all spoiled with gifts.  The boys had so much fun opening everything and really played well together.  Later that night we had a yummy prime rib dinner and just relaxed.  We headed back to Polk City the next day (late morning).  It was a great time!

Mason was so proud that he could get up there by himself

Christmas at Home

We were able to be at home on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning which is a tradition I really look forward to keeping since the boys are getting older, etc.  On Christmas Eve we had a really yummy dinner, the boys opened a package from Zephy (Elf on the Shelf) that had new PJ's for everyone, a couple Christmas books to read and hot chocolate!  So after dinner the boys put on their pj's...Mason just loves having his picture taken!

After we were in our jammies, we loaded up the car (hot chocolate in hand of course) and drove around listening to Christmas music and looking at Christmas lights.  It was a great end to the night!  Then Christmas morning we opened what Santa brought and the boys had fun playing with their new toys, I made breakfast and we loaded up the car to head to Gowrie...

I didn't take a lot of pics as I was trying to just enjoy the moment!

Holiday Break Fun

We had such a great Christmas and New Years!  I'm going to break the posts up or it would be photo-overload and this way I have more posts to do! :-)
We spent lots of quality time at home as Andy and I both had about 2 weeks off work!  Woo Hoo!  Here are a few pics of what we did on the 'off' holiday days to pass the time.

Lots of book reading...Andy just got done reading a few to the boys

The boys made a gingerbread house

We decorated cookies

Brady was very proud of the cookies he decorated!
