Another Fun and Busy Weekend

Sunday was pretty much a wash in all aspects of the word but we had more than made up for it on Saturday.  We had one busy day!  I started the morning off with a 9-mile training run with some GV ladies.  Then it was time to get ready for Brady's game.  He was super excited as a special person was in the crowd...his teacher Mrs. Jacobs happened to be at our game as her nephew was playing as well.  He was SO excited (and probably showed off a little too much!!).

Mason can't wait for his turn to play!

After the game, Brady took a quick rest and then we walked over to Travis and Ashley's so he could attend Tessa's 6th birthday (Mason was napping and Andy was busy putting in insulation).  At first he was a little apprehensive as he was the only boy but once the party got going (and the princesses came) he was more than okay with it and another boy did come later on!

All of these kiddos were star struck!

He was so excited for all the beads, prince hat and septor

Happy Birthday Tessa!

After the party we headed out west for dinner and to look at some hardware for the basement.  More to come on that later!  Drywall gets delivered this week and we are going to pick out the granite, etc this week (for the kitchenette/wet bar and bathroom).

Living it up!

We have been soaking up the warmer weather.  We love that we have a park just a little over a block away.  The boys have had fun walking there (or in Brady's case, riding his scooter) and making lots of new friends!

'Tag' time!

I almost forgot...

On Mason's actual birthday, April 12th, Brady had a game so as a little after-game treat, we had cake and ice cream to celebrate one very special 2 year old!

Mason, we love you SO much!

Play Ball!

Brady has been LOVING Tee-ball this year!  He has had 2 games and they improve so much with each game.  They also practice on Thursdays.  We are just happy that he has found something he likes.  We've tried soccer and basketball and they were both no-go but it could also have to do with the huge amount of kids for both.  Since moving to PC, the teams are smaller and he's known kids on his team and his opposing team.

His cheering section for his first game!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful and busy Easter and hope you did as well!  We started off the holiday with a Glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt on Friday night that we helped host with a neighbor.  We had about 16 kiddos come over once it was dark out and they were all equipped with flash lights and glow necklaces and bracelets.  We hid around 350 eggs!  I think it was a success and we are excited to do it again next year!
Then on Saturday we went to the Egg Hunt in Polk City and both boys got SO much stuff!  Aghh!  Then Brady had a tee-ball game and he did great!  It is SO fun to watch him in action...post on this to follow!
After the game we headed back to Kimballton for some family time.
We had a great dinner Saturday night, the kids played HARD...they had another egg hunt (4th one) and colored eggs.  Then on Sunday we headed to my aunt's for brunch and another egg hunt! :-)  These spoiled kiddos had 5 egg hunts...needless to say, most of the candy has been disposed of (Andy took it to work...)
Here are some pics of our weekend...in totally random order!

These 3, I tell ya!

Getting ready for another egg hunt!

I think the highlight of the day for Brady was getting to ride in my aunt's golf cart and go up and feed the horses...he was in heaven!

Mason's 2nd Birthday Party!!

On Sunday we had Family and Friends over to celebrate our baby boy's 2nd Birthday.  Wow, how is that possible?  We had a great day for his party and were so thankful to everyone that came.  It was great seeing everyone and celebrating Mason!

Guess Whooo is turning two?

Luckily it was nice out so the kiddos could play!

Fun Weekend

We had a very fun and busy weekend!  We kicked off the weekend with having our good friends Meredith and Jonny over for dinner while Brady had a birthday party at a friend in the neighborhood's.  He had a blast and we had so much fun catching up!  So glad they were able to come over!  It had been way too long.  We were too busy laughing and chatting to even remember to take any pics!  Brady was on cloud 9 after the birthday party!
Then on Saturday, Steve and Kris came to town.  They stopped by our house and picked Brady up on their way to the Drury Inn in West DSM.  The kiddos were all able to play in the pool.  Shortly after, we headed that way and were able to hang out for a while.  Then we headed to Bang Bang for dinner.  After dinner Brady headed back to the hotel with Steve, Kris, Brad and kids and we made our way home with Mason.  It was a great night!  Here are a couple pics!
