Pool Time...

On Sunday we got out Brady's pool. Well it wasn't much of a hit. Apparently he would rather be in a bigger pool or something. He pretty much tried to avoid his pool at all costs. We had to basically bribe him to get him to come near it! Hopefully he will warm up to it soon!

Parade Fun!

On Saturday we headed up to Story City with the Fuhrmans and Waters so we could experience Scandinavian Days. We headed up in the morning to have some yummy pancakes and enjoy the parade. The boys were so cute and had a great time looking at all the parade entries go by. They got the hang of picking up the candy and they all got TONS! After the parade we went to go to the petting zoo. They had all kinds of animals that I know Brady would have loved to pet but he was no having it--he was exhausted and in desperate need of a nap so we had to cut the trip a little shorter than we had planned. We came home and he had a nice long nap and we just did stuff around the house.
We were in desperate need of a new vacuum (not sure if I spelled that right!) so our exciting purchase of the weekend was a new one. It's crazy how buying something like that can be exciting...like we couldn't wait to get home and try it out...L.A.M.E!!! Ha ha!

How cute are these guys? All sitting in their chairs!

These guys are T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

Mr. Mischievous

Here are some pics of Brady doing what he does best...being a lot of fun, being a typical boy and being full of mischief (just like his daddy!)

He loves to climb the stairs and play with his shoes too...

Driving around on his new wheels...he gets the power part but not the steering part yet...

He loves to look through the Fuhrman's fence to get a peek at Milo, their dog. He will shout and pant like a dog until Milo comes over...too funny!

Someone wants to be a big boy and go down the stairs the big boy way...but for now mommy needs to hold his hand

More Stairs Fun!

Tivoli Fest 2010

Memorial Day weekend meant it was Tivoli Time! So we headed back to the Danish Villages on Saturday morning. I had to get in a long run with Mollie before we left in preparation for Dam to Dam this coming weekend. We managed to get in a good 11 miler! I don't know what I'd do without her to run with me! I've just been a little less motivated than usual so it's helpful to have someone expecting you to be somewhere and we push each other!
We made it back in time for the parade and Brady LOVED it! He got the hang of picking up the candy that was thrown...of course he wanted to run out into the middle of the parade but we corralled him pretty well. We walked around and had some lunch and then we took him back to my parents as it was nap time. While he was napping (Grandma was home with him), Andy and I headed out for the annual Beer-in-Hand Wiffle Ball games. We go out to a friends' farm and play. It's lots of fun and the weather was great this year! After having a good time out there, it was time to get some dinner, clean up and head up to the band and beer tent up town. Grandpa Tony stayed home with Brady as he was tired from an all-day baseball tournament. His Spartan baseball team won the tournament! They are undefeated so far this season, we'll have to catch a couple games especially since I have multiple cousins on the team! We had a great time catching up with people I hadn't seen in years!
On Sunday we got up, had breakfast, played outside, ate dinner, Brady napped and then it was time to head home. It was a very busy couple of days so Sunday night was early bed night!
Unfortunately my pics from the parade didn't turn out...but here are a couple from the weekend!

A little Beer-in-Hand action

Grandpa starting on Brady early...

He's getting the hang of it! Maybe he'll be a baseball player
