Meeting Santa...

On Friday we ventured to Bass Pro Shop to take Brady to see Santa. I had a feeling of how it would all go but we thought we'd give it a try. When we got there, the place was pretty busy so we got our time card (the pass to see Santa) and then killed some time walking through the store. Then it was time to wait in line...here is how we killed some time...

Oh yes, definitely worth waiting for 45 minutes for...ha ha ha!

Living History Farms Run!

I had completely forgotten to post about my favorite race! Living History Farms! This year I had a group from Grand View train and run it. For all of them, it was their first year and they did awesome! They are such a fun group of people and I am so blessed to work at a university with such awesome people...it is just like a big family! I love it! Here are some fun pics of us on our 7 mile journey. We got good and muddy!!! Which is the whole point of the race! Who cares how fast you go, if you don't have fun and get a little muddy--you might as well just run a road race! :-)

Birthday Dinner!

On Monday we decided to take Brady out for dinner for his birthday at Hickory Park in Ames. Dinner was yummy and they even sang him Happy Birthday with his dessert! He was really bashful again this time and hid behind mommy and covered his face...what a cutie!

Handy Andy strikes again!

After Andy and Bryce put up the waynescoating in Brady's room, we decided to do the same to the half bath on the first floor. We decided to make it lower on the wall since it's a bathroom. I couldn't be happier with it! Andy did a great job!!! Here are the results!

A Very Happy Birthday Party!

On Sunday we had Brady's birthday party! It was fun to get family and friends together for his big day. I decided after his 1st birthday party that we were going to make his parties much smaller...45 people were a lot to have in our house. He had a great time and got completely spoiled! He got really shy when we all sang to him, he covered his eyes, it was just too cute! He loved opening his gifts and luckily had some friends to help him!


Brady got a new table and chairs from Gma and Gpa Petersen...he loves sitting at it!

Happy Birthday Brady Joseph!!!

Our baby boy turns 2 years old today!! I cannot believe he is getting so big. We are so very blessed to have such an amazing little boy in our lives. He has brought us more happiness than either Andy or I ever imagined. It's so hard to believe that it's been 2 years since we were in the hospital, anxiously waiting to find out if we were having a boy or girl and out came this 9lb 1oz baby boy!!! What a day!!! Brady Joseph we love you so much and cannot wait to see you grow up!

Our Little Helper

On Saturday night we set up our tree. We had a new helper (last year we didn't put up our big tree since Brady was into everything!) and he kept thinking that the ball decorations were actual balls and tried kicking them! I'll have to post the final product soon!
