Our Boys

Now that Mason is more mobile and 'plays' more, he and Brady are really enjoying playing together.  Mostly they like to chase each other around and make noises--Mason copies everything Brady does.  It's so fun to see them becoming friends.  Brady definitely torments Mason, pushes him, etc but he is also his biggest protector.  I can't wait to watch their relationship grow!

Brady pretty much only takes showers now but since Mason was taking a bath he wanted to play with him in the water. 

Even though they are a trying two-some, they melt my heart! 



State Fair Fun

On Saturday we loaded up our troops and headed to the State Fair.  The weather was pretty perfect and we were able to see a lot of stuff.  Of course it was packed and navigating with a large stroller is always interesting but we made the most of it and had a lot of fun!

Laid Back Weekend

We had a fun Saturday!  We started the day with a trip downtown to the Farmer's Market.  We went a little later than we usually do and it was getting packed!  And with a double stroller, it was getting chaotic.  We got lots of fruits & veggies, some wine, we tried some yummy foods (some new--like El Salvadorian Pupusas) and some great detox juice from a juice bar.  The boys were definitely ready to go by the time I snapped this picture!  Ha ha!

 

After the market, we headed out to the mall to run a few errands and the boys played in the mall playground while Andy and I took turns shopping.

 

Mason is getting way too good with the stairs!  Yikes!  After the mall, we hit up Costco, ate some lunch and made our way home.  We did lots of playing both inside and outside...love this cutie pie!!

 

By the end of the night, I was ready for some yummy wine with fresh peaches..so yummy!  Love Santa Maria wines!  And in my glass from the winery in Alexandria, MO.  After the kiddos went to bed, we grabbed a drink and headed out to the patio and got caught up with good friends.  It was a great night!

 

Our Sunday was also very laid back.  I did a bunch of baking/cooking for the boys and for the week.  I made whole wheat waffles, mini egg frittatas, chocolate mint protein bars, and some squash muffins for the boys (they are awesome and they love them).  We then went to the park to play for a while, Andy took Brady fishing, we went on a family walk and did our best to live up a low key weekend as our schedule starts getting crazy this week!  Hope you had a great weekend and be sure to check out Mindy's Fit Life for some upcoming recipes, etc!

Blog Hiatus--I'm back!

I have been the world's worst blogger lately but to be honest, I haven't really wanted to post.  We've been busy enjoying the summer and I actually haven't really taken any pictures with the exception of my IPhone.  So this picture update is via IPhone pics.  So here's a short recap of the last 6 weeks! :-)  Enjoy!

 

One weekend we sent Mason to my parents for a Brady-only weekend.  We went fishing, to a movie, to the pool, out for dinner, on a picnic...lots of fun stuff for him.  Here he is catching some fish!

We had a couple of crazy weeks with the boys.  Stitches, staff infection and Mason had a virus.  We spent lots of time with our doctor!

 

On the 4th we headed up to Gowrie.  Brady got hooked up with a ride around town on this fun fire truck!  He LOVED it!  He was able to ring the bell and do the siren.  He was in heaven!

We hit up the downtown Farmer's Market.  Brady got a cool Spiderman balloon creation!  Aunt JoAnna sure did spoil him!

One weekend we dropped the boys off with my parents and headed on to Omaha for a Friday night wedding...so much fun!! 

 

The next night we got a baby-sitter and attended our first (of many) Polk City Pub Crawls...SO much fun!!!

 

We've gone on lots of picnics and one of our favorite spots is Big Creek!

We headed up to Minnesota for a fun family vacation.  Perfect weather and these two got a lot of cousin-playing time in.

 

Our resort has a ton of kid activities.  Here Brady got a super cool tattoo!  Purple and yellow were his color choices of course!
