Petersen Christmas

After we opened our gifts at home we headed to Kimballton for more Christmas fun.  When we got to my parents we opened even more gifts (we were so spoiled this year!), ate a yummy brunch and then we went up to my Grandma's for the Parker Christmas.

Chris was less than thrilled to have his pic taken

With Great Grandma

We were able to go and visit Best-a-Mor (my dad's mom) in her new room at the Nursing Home.  She had a bad fall a couple of weeks ago and it was time for her to go to the home...she has so many friends up there!

We had such a wonderful Christmas.  Brady really understood so much more and having Mason's first Christmas was so special.  We got to spend lots of time with family which is what it's all about!

Our Little Christmas

We were able to be home Christmas morning so the boys could open their presents.  They must have been good, Santa came!  Brady was excited about his trains, doctor kit, books, clothes (yeah right) easel and he got a tablet so now he can play preschool gamed on it instead of on our phones!  Mason got lots of fun new toys and clothes too!  Woo Hoo!

Disregard how horrible I look--it was EARLY!

Mason prefers the paper and boxes over the actual toys!

The doc is in!

My favorite boys!

Brady is quite the little engineer.  He loves to figure out how things work and he loves to race his trains and his new remote control Mater...he hooks them together and has races...too funny!

Andy and I did gifts that we both could use--a new laptop, tv for our bedroom and our trip to Jamaica in a few weeks (although that was planned a while ago and not a technical Christmas gift...but it counts in my book!)

Cathcart Christmas

Here's a recap of our Christmas's in pictures!  So get ready for a couple of posts!
On Sunday we headed up to Gowrie and stayed until Christmas Eve evening before coming home.  We had a great time with lots of yummy food and we all were completely spoiled!

Mason is FINALLY sitting up on his own...Amen!

Sleepy Boy!

Mason must have had a rough day last week.  At about 6:20 p.m. Andy was holding him on the couch and we both looked at him and he was fast asleep!  He isn't the type of baby that falls asleep while you hold him.  In fact, when he goes down for a nap or for bed, he likes to be fed and just put in his crib.  He prefers not to be rocked or held.  He will move around until you set him down.  Andy really enjoyed this cuddle time!

Adorable boy!!

Fun Pics

Last weekend we hit up the mall, Costco and I made about 25 pans of cinnamon rolls.  Here are a couple snap shots from the weekend!

Love these two cuties!

Ah...Brady's started with the really bad 'Mindy' fake smile...I have so many pics from when I was little with this same smile--yikes!

Some cinnamon rolls getting ready to go in the oven...lots of butter, sugar and cinnamon.  The Pioneer Woman has the best recipe!

Prep Preschool Christmas Program

On Tuesday morning Andy and I were able to take Brady to preschool for his Christmas program.  It was SO cute!  They sang about 7 songs and Brady was just singing his little heart out.  He was front and center and he was all about it!  After they sang their songs we went to their room and Santa was there so the kiddos were able to talk to him, we had cookies & milk, were given some crafts the kids made and were able to talk with Miss Tami and Miss Lauri (his teachers).  I have to brag a bit on our Brady--both the teachers went on and on about how happy and loving Brady is.  Miss Lauri said that if she had a t-shirt that said 'I Love Life' it would have Brady's face on it.  They said they love having him in class, that he is pure joy and that he says the funniest things (which worries me...who knows what he's saying in school because he tells quite the stories to us!).  He was on cloud nine during his program and loved showing us around.  It was the best way to start my day!

He waved to us multiple times!

Snack Time!

His special day really wiped him out...when we came downstairs at 6:30 while he was watching his Caillou, he was fast asleep!  He's NEVER done that!!  We scooped him up and put him in bed and he slept all through the night!

Scrub-a-dub-dub

2 boys in a tub!
Brady loves having Mason take baths with him.  I promise this will be one of the only bath tub pics I ever post but thought we needed to mark this milestone!

Someone having fun after his bath!

8 Months Old!

On 12.12.12 our baby boy turned 8 months old!  He is getting to be so much fun!  He is doing better sitting up on his own (he's kind of lazy about it but we're working on it), finally sleeping better (Amen!), eating more table foods, he loves playing Peek-a-boo, has really started to notice when mommy leaves a room (he will look all around for me), he ADORES his big brother.  If he's ever fussy and Brady comes over to him, he is all smiles.  I just cherish these moments and can't believe in less than 4 months our 'baby' will be 1!

Big brother had to be in on the picture--with Monkey of course!

Birthday Party!!

Brady's party was on Saturday and he had all his family and friends at our house to share in his special day.  He was spoiled by everyone's gifts and attention!  We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!!  Thanks to all that came to share in his special day!
