Weekend Fun...

Despite the weather, we've had a great weekend so far. On Friday we had a little family outing for Mexican food. It was yummy and Brady was such a good baby. Andy and I are constantly thanking God for giving us such a wonderful little boy. He has been having a rough time adjusting to being on formula alone. We're trying to find the right formula for him as he's been spitting up or having some tummy problems but even through all that, he still smiles and gives us his great big grin. What a trooper! Hopefully we've found the right formula for him this time.
Today Grandma and Grandpa Petersen came for a visit. Brady was really happy to see them (and we were too!). We had a great lunch at Old Chicago and then came home and visited and were entertained by Brady. He is such a jabber jaws! He has a new friend as he was given a cute stuffed monkey from g-ma and g-pa. Hopefully the weather is better tomorrow and luckily we still have one more day of the weekend!

Yucky Weather, Yucky Flu

Well we had a pretty good weekend. It was laid back which was nice. We spent a lot of time at home and also ran to the mall and on Sunday we went to church and then headed to Williamsburg to the outlet mall. We didn't have very much luck there, it is so hit-and-miss and this time it was a miss for us. Oh well, it got us out of the house. Then early on Monday morning (around 3 am), I woke up with an upset stomach. It quickly progressed to the full blown stomach flu by 5:30 a.m. Needless to say, I stayed home yesterday and today. I am feeling much better today and don't have the body aches, chills, vomiting, etc. What a relief! The hardest part was not being able to spend time with my boys! Hopefully neither one of them get it either. Here are some pics from the weekend:

We hope you all had a great St. Patty's Day and enjoyed the weather!!!

What great weather we're having! We are really enjoying it. Brady and I just got back from a nice long walk. It was great! We had a really nice weekend. We did a lot of projects around the house. Andy did lots of painting as we are redecorating our living room, painting the dining room and the hall. We're also redoing our downstairs bathroom...we have gotten all new fixtures for the bathroom, now we just need to install them and decide on a paint color. So it was a very productive weekend. I'll post pics when we're completely done. On Sunday the Cathcarts came up to visit and Kris brought a great lasagna for dinner. It was great to see them before they leave on their vacation to Cancun--we're so jealous! Now it's off to another busy week!

Monday Blahs...

It must be because of daylight savings time but this Cathcart household is dragging today! Brady was a little difficult during the night last night, of course on mommy's night duty! Oh well, it could always be worse and it's hard to get mad when you see him smiling/laughing when you go in to check on him. Both Andy and I were really tired at work today but luckily the work day is over and now it's family time! Below are some pics to brighten up your Monday!

I'm a happy baby!

Look at those legs--our little Michelin man!

We got out our highchair to put Brady in while we eat dinner. It's great because it doesnt take up any room, just put it on a chair.

He is just talking, talking, talking these days...

3 Months Old!

On March 6th Brady turned 3 months old! We went and got his pictures taken on Saturday and they turned out really cute. He wasn't as cooperative as he was for his 3 week pictures but we managed to get a good one! We had a busy weekend running lots of errands and picking things out as we've decided to do some re-painting and a little re-decorating to our main level. We plan to paint the living room, dining room and possibly the downstairs bathroom. We'll see how it all goes! We wish the weather was a little nicer but guess we got lucky on Thursday and Friday. Below are some pics we took to mark his 3 months. He's such a little ham--he is babbling like crazy these days and it's only a matter or time before he fully rolls over!

March already?

February seemed to fly by and hopefully with March being here we'll start having some nicer warmer weather. We had another great weekend. We just really enjoy our weekends as a family. On Saturday Andy had to go in and work for a few hours so Brady and I headed to Jordan Creek to do some shopping. He was such a great baby and I was able to get a lot of stuff done. When Andy got home from work we had a quick lunch and then we took Brady over to Jon and Jen's house so we could go to a movie (thank you SO much Jon and Jen!!!). He had so much fun playing with Jackson and Joel and other than a blow out, I think he was a pretty good baby! :-) The movie was good. We went to see He's Just Not That Into You and I have to give Andy props for going as it was a chick flick and he was the only guy in the theater. After the movie we needed to run a few more errands in West Des Moines so we got those done and finally got home in the evening, gave Brady a bath and went to bed. On Sunday we relaxed in the morning and then Brady and I headed over to aunt Jessica's baby shower. It was a really nice shower and she got some good stuff! Only a few more weeks and we'll have a new cousin for Brady. :-)
